skin QR organics NuElle triple action anti cellulite firming concentrate

I received this product for free to review via tomoson.com

Hey everyone! Well my plan for this one was going to be tons of embarrassing photos documenting the dramatic improvement I had in cellulite reduction. However I was only given a month and honestly there wasn't any visible difference yet. On the bottle it says to use it for three months every day before you see an improvement so I'm not sure how fair of a review this could be from the start. Since nothing changed though forgive me for leaving out the embarrassing photos. So the lotion itself is nice it spreads evenly and though it has sort of a chemical smell to it it doesn't linger. Now this is definitely different from a regular lotion. Its kind of uncomfortable given that it makes you sweat a lot when its on. This is intentional so it can I guess suck out the bad stuff that makes your thighs look like they are stuffed with cottage cheese. It also made my skin feel a bit firmer but that doesnt translate to apperance. I think it would work really well with a wrap but for everyday it seems rather impractical. I mean who wants to walk around with a damp bottom? The jar is really nice its a tall pump bottle and I'm sure I still have several months supply given you only apply it to the needed areas and it does spread very well. I'm not sure how well this is going to work at this point and I'll try to keep it up and remember to update it down the line. That will definitely happen if it works of course but if not I'm not sure I'll remember. If you'd like to check it out yourself though you can find it here.

Eco at heart stainless steel drinking straws plus awesome contest!

I received this product for free to review via tomoson.com

Hey everyone! So I like using straws. Some people do some don't but I do mostly because I don't drink very much. I mean like dangerously dehydrated and have ended up in the hospital more than once because of it. I've noticed that when I use straws I drink more, I drink faster and I can even tolorate things I don't generally drink like water. I guess its because it mostly misses your tongue or maybe because the act of sucking is the most natural for drinking allowing you to drink faster then by pouring it into your mouth. All I know is that it would for me and so occasionally when I happen to see straws at the store I might pick up a pack and when I do I use them constantly but it never seems important enough to plan on buying more so this usually only happens once every couple of years as a result like normal I go back to barely drinking anything at all and everything I am drinking is bad for me (like seriously I drink 2 sodas a day if I'm lucky and sometimes a coffee that's it) so when these came up I was really interested. I mean there is the money saving planet saving no waste aspect and then there is the side that really appealed to me the fact that they are permanent straws and I will have them around always when ever I want to use one. Heck they even come in a 5 pack which just happens to mean for me that my entire family can be using one at the same time with is kind of a cool coincidence. It wasn't until after I got approved and placed the order before I started wondering what would even make these different from pieces of metal tubing? Would they be sharp? Would they rust if I abandoned it in a can for a couple of days? I mean stuff like that happens. So when I got them some of the first things I noticed were that they are super smooth they also taper off ever so slightly on both ends. They also come with their own little cleaner that I'm likely to lose but its a nice thought.

OK so far as far as pros and con's go for pros they are easy to clean they work well as straws and they aren't disposable. For con's well you can't use it for hot beverages (not that I'd imagine you'd want to anyway) and I've noticed it can be uncomfortable with very cold beverages as well. Also it makes a god awful sound if you stick it in a can of soda and it hits the sides. I've had one sitting intentionally in a half full can of soda for the past week and there are absolutely no signs of rust or discoloration, it really looks no different then straight out of the box.
I've also not noticed any off tastes or smells or allergic reaction that would alert me if they contained nickel so I have to assume it doesn't. I don't care for drinks to be especially hot or cold myself and find the whole concept of metal straws still to be kinda awesome they are thick enough to be strong, I can't bend them myself and the kids have used them as drumsticks and they show no sign of wear whatsoever despite the scraping on the soda cans so I'm sure these things will last for years! Now if they could make bendy straws like this that would rock!
Right now though they are having a pretty exciting contest if you want to check it out, here is what you can win.

Bake It Fun silicone baking mat and giveaway!

I received this product for free to review via tomoson.com

Hey everyone well this review is actually more in video than it is written but I just wanted to preface this a bit by saying I Love this baking mat! I swear I've spent more money on cookie sheets than any other bake wear simply because it works then it wears out then everything sticks and it stains and its awful and I hate it and I need a new one and I realize I'm rambling but I know you've been there. Heck I don't even use it often and more often then not I use it with foil on it (to ease up the cleaning and what not) but even friggin tater tots stick to foil and to my baking sheets never mind things that are goopy or sticky anyways. And then there are cookies. You dream of the perfect cookie, it should be crispy and chewy and juicy if you suck on it and soak up milk and just be all around delicious. But in real life even with the perfect recipe you either get undercooked and therefore more chewy cookies or you get hard all the way through atrocities that only are suitable for dunking or worst yet cookies that feel like cake in your mouth. The cookies I made in this video were true perfection and gone before we went to bed ( I made the kids another batch later) but since then every time I was using a pan in the oven I've thrown this in even when I decided to finish off my fried chicken in the oven you would not believe the amount of grease that came off that thing but even the solidified chicken juices which while delicious are probably one of the hardest things to scrape off a baking pan ever. It slid right off, just like everything else. I honestly don't know how I've gotten along without one of these before. I tell my husband I want more and he laughs since I only have the one cookie sheet and the thing is super easy to clean.

If you want to check one out for yourself you can pick it up here.
Also I'm doing a giveaway on this so if you would like to be entered like bakeitfun on facebook share my blog on Facebook Instagram or twitter (one entry each) follow me on whichever and tag me in the post. Also include the #bakingmat and #giveaway good luck! I'll contact the winner for any info I need. Contest ends on September 30th so get sharing!

2 pack 6 foot extension cords by Solid Cordz

I revieved this product for free to review via tomoson.com

Hey everyone. How do you review extension cords? I got this 2 pack to review and I needed them. I had been thinking about getting some extension cords for quite awhile now but fatelered when thinking of the miles of coils to navigate just to make my room make more sense. Often anymore there will be a wall plug that is powered by a wall switch and I guess I'm just "lucky" in the fact that their placement tends to be worst case scenario for me. I mean the plug next to my bed where my alarm and charger are plugged in is the one that works off the switch. Also its a double switch the second one turns on and off the overhead fan. The combination involved has me waking up late many days with a dead tablet or phone simply because someone flipped the wrong switch when trying to turn off the fan. The two nearest plugs are the one my husband uses and one in the other corner of the room which of course is too far away to plug in either my tablet (I stay up late playing or working on it and put it down when I'm ready for sleep) or my alarm while still being able to reach them from the bed. I also have a lamp as there is no overhead lighting which I would like to be able to use with the wall switch so that I no longer have to traverse a dark room tripping my self up to simply turn one freaking lamp. This was really the perfect solution for me. Being that the cords are only 6 feet long I can basically use them to switch the outlets without having a ton of excess cordage and since they come in packs of 2 I don't need to buy anything extra to make the plugs work in both directions. On top of that I could always plug one into the other if I needed an extra long extension cord so its really the best of both worlds. Now these are black cords and not safety orange so I would be careful with the application. If you'd like to pick a set up for yourself you can find it here.

Incredible by Victoria's Secret Sportsbra (and knockout tight)

I received this product for free to review via influenster.com (and writing this blog earns me contest entry too but I would have written it anyway)

Hey everyone! Well I got just the coolest thing from Influenster the other day. In fact it is by far the best VoxBox I have seen them put out yet! Now influenster is different than most of the reviews I do in the sense that they decide what to send me. I don't choose it. But this I would have 1,000,000 times over! So I knew that they were going to be sending me a Victoria's Secret sports bra but I had no idea they were sending an entire workout outfit! Now I wear sports bras all the time more for the fact that they fit me than for any kind of form or style and least of all for working out in. Which I do by the way, well I go through spurts anyway like I'll feel fat and so I'll work out till I can't move (a few days of obsessively strenuously working out) then I need to rest to heal so my muscles don't hurt anymore (which typically lasts oh until the next time I feel fat) but by far my biggest obstacle with exercising is my tits. Now they aren't huge or anything (at least I didn't think so) but it hurts to run or jump and pretty much moving fast enough to break a sweat and sports bras I've had (goodwill) either were too tight and I couldn't breathe and therefore couldn't work out or just didn't have any support (like I've had tops that held them better) and sometimes both. So needless to say I was stoked to be getting one from VS! I mean who knows how to hold them better? After stalking the tracking site finally it updated to out for delivery. Then it never updated to delivered. So around 8pm I went out to check the mail to find that it was left in the office (bummer) and the office wouldn't be open until 1pm the next day. (Actually it was after 3 before anyone showed up) but when I finally got it I couldn't believe it! I shot a quick unboxing and put it on. Holy cleavage! I've never had this much with a push up bra let alone a sports bra! I'm never taking this thing off! (Correction I will get more so that I can still be wearing one whilst I wash the other.) And its comfortable too its got padding everywhere not just around the ladies but also the straps and the hook (its actually got a bra hook) and even the underside is padded #awesome! The pants aren't the style I would have chosen if I had a choice cause I'm short and they go all the way down to the middle of my feet (unless I pull them up) but they have an internal drawstring (which I don't need as they are plenty tight in the medium size I got them in) and a hidden pocket big enough to hold necessities like some cash your gym card and ID. More importantly I noticed whilst randomly jumping around and cartwheeling and running and jumping jacks I was doing to see if I could jostle the tatas loose (I couldn't) is they too jeep the jiggle to a minimum. Now this doesn't just make me feel better about my body (thought it totally does) and give me enough confidence to actually go out in public in this getup but it does something more important. Usually it feels as though my thighs and butt are pulling me down further like there is an additional jolt after I hit the ground when the jiggle catches up. I'm really not that fat so I know I'm not the only one who experiences this and finds it a drawback when you are working out. The only negative I've experienced is near my armpits (but higher like on the chest near the shoulders ) the outside of the strap for the first 2 days made painful marks (after wearing it all day and working out like crazy) today there has been less so I suppose there is a break in period and you may want to wear it around the house for a few days before taking it to the gym or like a marathon. All though if you are already in shape you may not have this problem as I think its just a bit of flab rubbing wrong. Anyway despite that I love this and I will be getting more! For your consideration the pictures are going under the article so if you don't want to see me in a sports bra and tights you can probably go now. If you want to get some for yourself you can pick one up in your local Victoria's Secret store or if you don't have one near you or prefer to avoid malls you can buy it here is your normal VS bra size.

So I was supposed to go to a store to tell of my experience. That did not happen. This did.
Yeah that is literally the closest I got to Victoria's Secret. Which is a total bummer because I love it there. Even when I was a broke teenager looking for a sale (OK more like making my friend buy something so I could get the free thing lol) they never treated me badly and the place always smelled awesome (not really what I would have expected from an underwear store lol) I'm assuming the staff is helpful but honestly I've always been too embarrassed to ask (or rather accept) help (they always ask) so that's it for the in store experience portion.

Propresser garlic press

I received this product for free to review via tomoson.com

Hey everyone! So I use a lot of garlic. I mean major amounts in almost every meal and I don't care for the watery or oily pre minced stuff. I don't mind the tube kind or the frozen in cubes kind as much but with the sheer amount I use its crazy expensive and I still need to buy cloves because I also like roasted and sliced garlic. For this reason I have been on a never ending search for a garlic press that works the right way for most of my adult life. What I've found is nothing like my mothers garlic press I remember from growing up that was lost in one move or another and was most likely a hand me down from my great grandmother. That one worked. It was durable and easy to use and it made sense. I've gotten some that had plastic handles ( breaks under the pressure) some with gimiky nubs that are supposed to help push the garlic (all of it) through the holes so it leaves the press cleaner and there is less waste but that just is a pain unless you like brushing the teeth of the garlic press after every single clove. So as you can imagine I was both excited and a little skeptical that this garlic press would be the one to end my search.

My first test of the press involved unpeeled cloves. I don't know if the skins were too thick or if I'm simply too weak but I couldn't actually get the garlic to come out that way. Besides peeling garlic is really easy and it was actually a bit harder for me to get it loose without the skin peeling off so this just isn't the way I would use it anyway. Next I tried it with a peeled clove and it worked perfectly. I was amazed to find inside of the press was garlic skin. Not the hard dry stuff I usually peel away but the outer membrane that keeps the garlic juice contained inside. That peeled out quickly with the help of the backside of the provided brush and I was on to the next clove. This is so much easier than chopping it by hand. Its also a much more consistent size then I am able to maintain which means the garlic will cook up evenly. I can even imagine using this press to make my own frozen garlic cubes so I have the quick convenience and the low price of the pre-processed cloves. Clean up was easy thanks to the flip out tub and the little brush they nicely include. I think my search is over. This one I think is actually better than the garlic press my mother had which was quickly turning into a mythological being in my head with ever failed attempt at replacing it. If you'd like to try it for yourself you can find it here.

Snoozy Jersey Knit Crib Sheet

I received this product for free to review via tomoson.com

Hey everyone! Ever noticed how crib sheets are a pain to get on? Well for me they always were and that's one of the things that to me stands out big time with this sheet. Instead of having the fitted elastic corners which are usually either a pain to get on or tend to pop off the corners just because your kid isn't exactly sleeping peacefully at the moment. Well the design of this sheet is different its almost like if it was a full mattress cover that was slit in the back.
It makes it both super easy to put on and very secure on the bed and it doesn't have the elastic to dry rot or wear out so I imagine it being something that could go through many sets of kids. I also really like that its the soft stretchy jersey knit material. Its the same material I chose mor my own sheets and in that respect is definitely much more comfortable then the typical crib sheets which must assume babies don't care about comfortable bedding. The kids definitely seem to love it as the babies bed became quite the hot spot after I put this sheet on... Or maybe they are just camera hogs. Either way I'm happy with it!
If you would like one of your own you can find it here.

Sunsella Little Gems (silicone cupcake molds)

I received this product for free to review via tomoson.com
Hey everyone! So I as have mentioned before I love baked goods and even baking but I detest the cleanup and how it seems to destroy the pans made supposedly for the purpose. So any tools that help me with that are awesome! These little cupcake molds are super brightly colored.
They are also just smaller than the size of my muffin pan.
Now my muffin pan which I most often use for making cornbread hasn't been used in almost a year because somewhere down the line it got something stuck it it and was scraped and soaked and ended up rusted.
Why I didn't throw it out I'm not sure. I suppose its because it was expensive. I don't like replacing things if I can do without them but I knew I couldn't so I just kept it. In any case these may just be the perfect option so I made cupcakes. Now the directions on the cupcakes say to either grease the pan or use paper cups. I didn't do either and instead use the silicone cups ungreased.
I was a bit nervous and was second guessing myself however if I didn't try it without greasing I wouldn't have any way of knowing how good these really work. So I baked them for the minimum time and pulled them out.

The kids were anxious to have one so I decided to remove the silicone cups from the pan so they would cool faster and on a whim I decided to flip one upside down into my hand.

To my shock it fell out. I tried several more with the same result amazing! So I let them cool and frosted a few. Gave them over to the kids and the man and they were devoured. With the kids I simply slid theirs out of the mold but I noticed my husband bent his down like he would have with a paper so it works that way too.

I foresee more baking in my future. The cups themselves had very few crumbs remaining in them at all and were thrown in the dishwasher unceremoniously and came out clean. If you'd like some for yourself you can find them here.

Comfort Shield Crib Mattress Protector

I received this product for free to review via tomoson.com

Hey everybody! So my youngest is almost 2 and decided a few things recently. One being that he must wear shoes at all times or a meltdown will ensue. Even in bed. Yes we are trying to work on it but its hard listening to your kid cry when something so simple can fix it so for the moment, more often then not he gets his way. Another thing he decided is that its fun to jump on his bed. The combination of those plus the vinyl outside of his crib mattress resulted in a break in his mattress.
Now this product doesn't fix that but with diapers sometimes leaking and crib mattresses being fairly expensive to replace especially since he may get a real bed very soon protecting the mattress from those leaks and making the bed comfortable to sleep on are both key. I was impressed that this was like a mini version of the mattress protector that was a forced purchase with my new mattress last year which I'm pretty sure was 50 bucks BTW.

Its got a soft terry cloth like feel to it with the rubber backing to prevent moisture from getting through. It is so soft though and really makes the mattress feel both more comfortable and since its fairly thick will negate the effects of the vinyl bed which cannot be comfortable being at first cold and then not breathable therefore making my poor little stubborn one sweat at night.it goes on easier than the typical crib sheet and fits the mattress perfectly making it the perfect solution until he moves on to the big boy bed in his future. When that time comes I will definitely consider upgrading the size of this pad to one that will fit his new bed. If you would like to check one out for yourself it can be found here.

Snoozy Organic Cotton Waterproof PlayYard Pad

I received this product for free to review via tomoson.com

Hey everyone. This review actually made me feel a little bad. You see my youngest spent most of his first year of life sleeping in his pack and play. It wasn't that he didn't have a crib. He did. But we both preferred the play yard. It was easy to move around it had 2 different heights so it was easier to get him in and out then his crib when he was little and it made him feel safe since he couldn't bump his head or get his arms or legs stuck in the soft sides unlike his crib. Now my first two kids hated the pack and play and since I never really used it I didn't know there were accessories like this one.

What it is is essentially a sheet for the pad on it only its like soft poofy and quilted. I used to use full sized blankets folded up to for in it to provide softness that I felt was lacking. That had to be readjusted every time he slept in it which was a pain I mean have you tried folding a blanket and straightening it out inside a crib or pack and play one handed while trying not to wake the sleeping baby in your arms. Yeah. Plus this feels a lot more comfortable than the blanket ever did since it was actually made for this purpose. Even the little one was excited to retry his pack and play (it hasn't been used since he switched to his big boy bed) I so wish I had this when he was using it more often but now I won't feel bad if we visit places and he needs to nap or sleep in his pack and play without a comforter to tote around. Actually if it wasn't for the other items I received to review his play yard would actually be more comfortable than his bed. It was easy to put on the pad and I'm sure it would be easy to take off. I'm not sure if you can leave it on when you close the playpen up since the playpen has become popular again. If you would like to pick one up you can do so here.

Americare Vinyl mattress protector

I received this product for free to review via tomoson.com

Hey everyone so as you know by now I have 3 littles. And while my eldest is fully potty trained and my youngest is still in diapers my middle son still has issues with knowing he needs to go potty when he is sleeping. Now I had a mattress protector that I used constantly (the one that I had to purchase for the warranty of my new mattress in fact) it did not actually prevent his accidents from seeping into the mattress and it was actually very difficult to clean thanks to the rubber backing and well that is a lot of laundry to do every day with the mattress protector the sheet and the blanket and on top of it, it sometimes needed to be run through the wash cycle twice depending on the position it turned itself into in the wash. Now there are other types of mattress protectors that encase the entire mattress which is a pain just getting on the bed in the first place and not very comfortable at all as it tends to trap air inside and poof up awkwardly when you lay down on it. This one on the other hand is more like a fitted vinyl sheet I even tested it for waterproofing capabilities by pouring some soda on the bed (I know it was a risk) and it just beaded up. Nothing made it through at all even after leaving the liquid on the bed for several minutes. It doesn't feel uncomfortable to lay on with a sheet on top and is really saving me tons of time on laundry since I need only wash the sheets and wipe off the vinyl I can actually catch up on laundry doing only the one load a day. Its definitely the best mattress protector I've found that fits their queen size bed. If you would like to pick up one for yourself you can find it here.
